HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!
2012 is already promising to be a very exciting and interesting year for Sumudu. In February she will be singing with the James Pearson Trio supporting legendary funk bassist Mark King at his week-long residency at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London.
The nights will feature a host of musical greats including members of Level 42 past and present and many more
of Mark King's friends and musical collaborators.

JASON REBELLO COLLABORATION
I am thrilled to be working with the multi-talented and Grammy award winning producer Kipper (of Sting fame).
We are collaborating on an exciting new project featuring the extraordinary piano talents of jazz genius Jason Rebello.

The chemistry between the three of us has been inspirational and has led to some surprising new versions of well-loved songs. We've set no limits to our song choices which range from Cole Porter to Coldplay!

We're planning to play some shows very soon, so watch this space!

SUMUDU - 21st CENTURY SONGBIRD
Sumudu is a remarkable singer-songwriter from London.
She has sung with such musical luminaries as Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, Elvis Costello, Sir Bob Geldof, Mica Paris and Jason Rebello.
The Barnsley born songstress of Sri Lankan heritage has just written her first album Waiting For You playing most of the instruments herself with production from Grammy Award winning producer Kipper (Sting). BBC Radio are comparing her to legendary artists Eva Cassidy, Karen Carpenter and Alison Krauss.
Sumudu has recently collaborated with the UK jazz piano giant Jason Rebello (Sting/Jeff Beck) as well as Level 42 founder members Mike Lindup and Phil Gould. She appears on Mike's latest release 'One the One'.
More musical projects look set to happen later this year so watch this space!
